Charity to Support Young Cancer Patients

A cancer diagnosis affects not only the patient but also their entire family, especially when children are involved. That’s why LILT (Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer) created the Child Care project—to provide essential support to young cancer patients (ages 0 to 21) and their families.

From the moment of diagnosis, LILT offers discreet and compassionate assistance throughout the treatment journey. Families receive accommodation, educational and recreational activities, and financial aid to help ease their burden. Even after treatment, parents can stay in direct contact with their child’s oncologist, ensuring ongoing support and guidance.

Last Christmas, Mitsubishi Electric Europe Italian Branch took part in a significant charity initiative to support LILT and its mission. Partnering with other organizations based at the Vimercate campus, where our headquarters is located, we contributed to this meaningful cause.

On Wednesday, 27th November, and Thursday, 28th November, several of our colleagues volunteered at the LILT Christmas corner set up in the building’s common areas. They helped selling holiday gifts, with all proceeds going directly to the Child Care project.

At Mitsubishi Electric, we are proud of our employees' dedication—whether through volunteering their time or purchasing solidarity gifts. Their generosity embodies the true spirit of giving and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
