The Düsseldorf ambulant children's and youth hospice service accompanies children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening illnesses and their families on their journey through life.

Mitsubishi Electric Europe German Branch is supporting two charitable projects this year with its annual regional Christmas donation totalling €10,000. The donations will go to the Bolzplatzhelden project of the “BürgerStiftung” (Citizens´Foundation) Düsseldorf and the “Ambulante Kinder- und Jugendhospizdienst” (Ambulant Children´s and Youth Hospice Service) Düsseldorf. These social projects are dedicated to supporting and helping children, teenagers, young adults and their relatives in difficult life situations.

With the Bolzplatzhelden project, the Citizens' Foundation Düsseldorf is committed to promoting the physical fitness of schoolchildren in Düsseldorf aged between 6 and 18. Experienced youth football coaches, including Fortuna soccer legends, offer free weekly training sessions. From April to October, football is played on several pitches across Düsseldorf, and in the winter months, sessions take place in sports stadiums for several hours a week, particularly in districts with a social need for support.

The company is equally passionate about supporting the Düsseldorf Ambulant Children's and Youth Hospice Service (AKHD). With the support of trained volunteers, AKHD assists children, teenagers, and young adults with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, throughout their journey—from diagnosis and daily life to end-of-life care and beyond, providing compassionate support within their home environment.
