Supporting young musical talents in Italy alongside Rina Sala Gallo Association

24 - 26 October 2025

Classical music created beauty and brought people together without words. It naturally encouraged attentive listening, empathy, and reflection, offering a welcome moment to pause from everyday life and feel part of a larger community.

At Mitsubishi Electric Europe Italian Branch, we believe that supporting classical music helps foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and cultural exchange, building meaningful bridges between people.

That’s why we were proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Rina Sala Gallo Musical Association for the 2025 edition of “A Piano for the City” in Monza, held from 24 to 26 October.
The festival, called “Impronte Sonore (Sound Footprints)”, brought outstanding music to some of the city’s most inspiring and historically significant locations, combining artistic, social, and cultural experiences.

The stars of “Sound Footprints” were exceptionally talented young musicians, already recognized on the international stage. On the evening of 24 October, the Trio Hèrmes, winner of the ‘Ensemble of the Year’ award from Le Dimore del Quartetto, performed at the Church of San Maurizio (MB).

The matinée on 25 October featured the accomplished pianist Martina Consonni and the Franco-Italian violinist Sarah Jégou-Sageman. That same evening, violinist Francesca Bonaita and pianist Mariia Matsiievska took the stage. The festival concluded with a concert by the Orchestra Canova, composed of young musicians under 35, at the Teatro Manzoni, featuring Konstantin Emelyanov (born 1994), winner of the 2024 Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition.

But the music of “A Piano for the City” extended beyond the main stages: it also reached places where it could bring comfort, joy, and create meaningful connections. At Paese Ritrovato in Monza, a village dedicated to the care of people with Alzheimer’s, a special concert offered a moment of encounter and dialogue between generations, once again highlighting the strong social mission of the Association.
